This kit converts a pre-2022 MAG-10400 Stand to allow you to mount a MAG-8100 or MAG-8200 Sharpener to your existing MAG-10400 stand.
The pre-2022 stand's balancer arm brace is 9-5/8" long. The problem is the new MAG-8100 and MAG-8200 series sharpeners have an electrical box on the motor that would interfere with the balanacer arm. To compensate for this the balancer arm brace had to increase in length to 12" long, this moves the balancer arm away from the sharpener. Simply replace the older 9-5/8" long brace with the new 12" long version and your stand will be ready for your new MAG-8100 or MAG-8200.
The MAG-8100 and MAG-8200 series sharpeners mount on the stand table top in the same holes and orientation that the MAG-8000 does.
If you are adding a water-cooled MAG-8200 to an older stand 3 holes will need to be drilled in the table top to mount the water catch tray. Please contact us at 800-328-1110 and we can send you a free 3D printed drill template and drawing to make this small modification fast and easy.
