The MAG-10400 Service Center Stand is the latest evolution of the series of pedestal stands designed and manufactured by Magna-Matic. This revolutionary stand provides more customization than any stand currently in the industry. The primary design of the MAG-10400 is to hold one Magna-Matic lawn mower blade sharpener (MAG-8000 or MAG-9000) and one lawn mower blade balancer (MAG-1000, MAG-1000G, or MAG-1000GC). It is very compact using approximately a 2 ft square footprint, this space savings can leave your existing workbenches free, rather than placing the sharpener on a workbench. Due to the vertical orientation of the balancer the stand provides an arm, rather than trying to find open wall space to mount the balancer.  For the first time the MAG-10400 Service Center Stand now has the ablity to be set-up at two different stand heights for increased operator comfort.

 

A new addition to the stand is a tool hook for the arbor and spanner wrenches used for removing grinding wheels from the sharpeners, never loose your wrenches again!

 

Perhaps the most exciting design change to the MAG-10400 Service Center Stand, are all of the new optional accessories that allow you to customize the stand to your specific needs. 

 

The first of the accessories is the Blade Carrier, it is designed as a cradle for up to 3 lawn mower blades, its clean and simple design use gravity to allow the blade to lightly jam in the cradle to keep the blade in place, and minimize any rattling noise from vibration during grinding.  The Blade Carrier is mounted to the stand with isolation rubber washers to also minimize any noise.  The MAG-10400 can have as many as 4 blade carriers mounted to its table top.

 

This multi-purpose designed shelf can hold a box of TEN grinding wheels (30 LBS!), it has a high lip around all four sides to prevent any thing set in the shelf from vibrating off the shelf.  There are notches designed in the shelf to also act as lawn mower blade holders.  This very useful shelf can really be used for any tools, safety gear (gloves, eye protection, etc), or other items you would like to have close by when sharpening and balancing lawn mower blades.  This shelf can be bolted to any workbench or table, with 3 bolts, customize your shop.

 

We have often been asked to put wheels on our stands to make them more mobile.  Simply putting casters on a pedestal stand would make it unsafe - instead we have designed a bracket to give it two fixed wheels that allow the operator to tilt it back much like a two-wheel hand-truck.  This way when in use it is standing on all four of its industrial leveling feet firmly ridgid and solid.  IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: The Caster Bracket/Wheel Kit comes with a bottom cover to seal off the bottom of the stand's column so that more weight can be added to the stand.  For safety it is required that you fill the column with additional weight to offset the weight of the sharpener.  This makes it much easier and safer when moving the stand on its wheels.  Recommended weight material = 3/4" aggregate stone or pea-gravel fill the column about 6" from the top of the column.
